Only A Few More
Only a few
more mornings,
Only a few
more nights,
And the
home I have longed for,
From
childhood will burst on my loving sight.
Only a few
more heartaches,
Only a few
more tears,
And I’ll
go to be with my Savior,
Who bears
my burdens and cares.
Yes it’s
only a shortened journey
To reach
my home on high
The home
that my Lord has prepared for me
Where we’ll
never-never die.
Only a few
more burdens,
To bear on
the onward road,
Only a few
more loving deeds,
To lighten
my brothers load.
Only a few
more partings,
And grief
so heavy to bear,
Yes, only
a few more songs to sing,
And only a
few more Prayers.
