Is Your Love Nest Ready?

When I hear you talking of the time when you

And Mary move into that nest for two

I begin to pray that quarrels will be few

-That the Ship of Matrimony will sail straight through.

Is your Love Nest ready for your mate and you?

Are the window shades up and the cook-stove too?

Make a nice new wood box and paint it blue

Don’t let her call you Darling and Lazy too.

Are there plates enough for company? Does the dishpan leak?

Will looking at the table make it groan and squeak?

Are the chairs three-legged? Will the stovepipe fall?

Don’t omit a single item – There’s necessity for all.
